The Crimson Cup

The Crimson Cup is a fun and interactive simulator game where the player is a barista working the night shift at The Crimson Cup, a coffee house that serves both humans and monsters, where “special” syrups are reserved for non-human customers. It is the player’s goal to identify through dialogue interaction and visual cues the identities of each customer and craft them the correct drink.

This game began as a small game jam project with a team of five, but it evolved into a larger passion project as our team became invested in further developing the gameplay and characters. The game is reminiscent of a Papa’s Pizzeria type of game, but with a fun fantasy twist. Players must identify whether customers are human or not through dialogue interactions and visual hints. Primary interaction lies in clicking UI elements, dragging ingredients and cups, and selecting dialogue choices. My responsibilities included designing some of the UI assets, overall editing of assets, and writing and implementing the dialogue for each character.
